Before I understood cybersecurity, entrepreneurship or digital forensics, I was learning how technology works.
I wanted to understand what happens beneath the surface.
The programs people use. The networks they depend on. The invisible processes that allow one system to communicate with another.
My formal education in information technology at Lovely Professional University in India gave that curiosity a foundation.
Programming, networking, databases and operating systems were no longer isolated subjects.
They were pieces of a larger architecture.
But learning how a system works introduces another question.
What happens when that system fails?
And what does that failure mean to the people who depend on it?
At the time, I was studying technology.
I would soon begin to understand responsibility.
Understanding a system is one thing. Being responsible for it is another.
