BETWEEN SYSTEMS & STORIES / CHAPTER 10

A map is not the same as a journey

A map can show where a place is.

It cannot fully explain what it means to experience it.

Travel has become one of the ways I explore the world beyond the environments where I work and study.

My journey has taken me through different countries, cities and cultures.

Each place has its own rhythms, routines and ways of living.

I am interested in preserving those experiences through photographs, maps and personal stories.

The goal is not simply to collect destinations.

It is to create a record of the places I have experienced and the different perspectives that come from moving through them.

Technology can connect us to almost anywhere.

Travel reminds me that experiencing a place is different from looking at it through a screen.

The world is larger than the systems I build. I want to keep exploring it.
